Illuminated circular sensor device

Internet of Things (IoT)

Sensors are the easy part. Getting the data somewhere it changes a decision is the work.

What we do
Overview

We design IoT deployments backwards from the decision they are meant to support. That means choosing connectivity that survives the site conditions, handling data at the edge where bandwidth is scarce, and delivering dashboards that an operations lead reads every morning.

01

Device and connectivity design

Sensor selection, power budget and connectivity chosen for the actual site — a plantation, a plant floor and a port each rule out different options.

02

Edge and gateway

Local processing and buffering, so a dropped link means delayed data rather than lost data.

03

Data pipeline and dashboards

Ingestion, storage and visualisation, with alert thresholds set together with the people who will be woken up by them.

04

Field operations

Commissioning, spares and a maintenance plan. Deployed hardware degrades, and a plan for that is part of the design.

How we work

Built for the site

Designs account for power, dust, heat, distance and intermittent connectivity, not for lab conditions.

One decision at a time

We start with a single measurable operational question rather than instrumenting everything at once.

Data you own

Storage and export in open formats, so the platform choice is not permanent.
